Tonight on THE MORTIFIED SESSIONS: actress Kristin Bauer and comedian Matt Walsh

The final episode of this season of THE MORTIFIED SESSIONS kicks off with actress, and popular vampire, Kristin Bauer van Straten. Bauer’s best known as Pam Swynford De Beaufort on HBO’s True Blood, and she’s further extended her dark fantasy credentials with a stint as the evil Maleficent on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. She loves to play creepy ladies!

Who could have guessed the dark tidings hiding behind the baby blue eyes in Bauer’s childhood photo?

Kristin went through a rebellious phase in college, and she talks about that in this week’s episode:

Stay tuned because we’ve got comedian Matt Walsh coming right up in the second half of this week’s season finale. You may know Walsh as a member of the Upright Citizens’ Brigade comedy troupe, along with fellow well-known funny people Amy Poehler, Matt Besser and Ian Roberts. You can also see Walsh in films such as DUE DATE and THE HANGOVER.

Walsh’s childhood photo looks like a 1970′s version of Rockwell Americana:

Every comedian was a kid once, and there’s a moment they can point to when they realized they were funny… or at least realized they were trying to be. Walsh is only slightly embarrassed to pull out an early essay that shows some of the origins of his comedy, and how spent one night “looking for sex”:

DID YOU KNOW: that Kristin Bauer van Straten is an animal lover, and has even filmed a documentary about the ivory poaching trade in Africa? Or that Matt Walsh directed a film (HIGH ROAD) that was almost entirely improvised? Check out more bits of trivia in the Top 10 Reasons We Love Kristin Bauer van Straten and the Top 10 Reasons We Love Matt Walsh!
