Héctor Galván is the founder of the Mexico City-based design studio, Omelette. His design is informed by the art, music and food of the city and most aspects of his design are made of recycled materials. Hector has worked for Mexico’s Básico and Deseo boutique hotels, responsible for their interiors as well as a government project in which he renovated twenty-three popular restaurants and stores on Mexico City’s historic Regina Street on a budget of three thousand dollars. The el compadre beach chairs are made from recycled, dehydrated wood and epoxy paint.
