Moses sports a mohawk, 1920's meets 2012 attire, and creative mixology skills. The boisterous bartender has designed and contributed to the creation of cocktail menus at many successful New York City restaurants.
A born and bred native of New York City’s Spanish Harlem, Moses Laboy started his NYC restaurant career in 1992 as a bus boy and quickly moved up the ranks to server, head bartender, and management. Soon after finishing his college education, he realized that his passion was in the hospitality business and moved into restaurant management, joining celebrity Chef Tom Valenti’s team as a beverage director at a popular Upper West Side eatery in Manhattan.
Moses has enjoyed success by consulting beverage programs for celebrity Chefs such as Annie Wayt, Alex Urena and restaurateur Donatella Arpaia. It has been Moses’ dream to open his own mixology bar/restaurant and he came close last year with Chef Andrew D’Ambrosio of Top Chef. Recent claims to fame: .
