Although she was selected as Women’s Wear Daily’s ‘hot new designer,’ and had enormous success, Dana-Maxx quickly found herself in major debt. With her parents financing the line entirely, it’s time for Dana-Maxx to grow up. Joe Zee thinks Dana-Maxx is in need of a business makeover — her staff is too large and her price points unattainable. He arranges for her to meet with fashion entrepreneur and start-up business expert Liza Deyrmenjian, who schools Dana-Maxx on turning a profit in fashion, but when Dana is unprepared for her buyers meeting at Bergdorf Goodman, will she get a second chance to turn it all around?
