The Day The Music Died

Park City, Jan 27: The last day of the festival is also the last day of the ASCAP Music Cafe []. This afternoon sets by Annie Stela [], Ron Sexsmith [], Emerson Hart [] and Sparta [] were the final performances before the Music Cafe closes its door for another year.

But there was more music at Sundance than could be held in a single cafe. In addition to the private parties, clubs, and impromptu performances, Park City also closed down Main Street on Thursday night for a free concert with Of Montreal [] and Shiny Toy Guns []. [] provides a survey of just how much music could be heard at this year’s festival.

Perhaps the only musician not on stage here was Bono. He came to see films.
