World AIDS Day is a chance for people around the globe to come together and raise awareness for the fight against HIV/AIDS. These ten movies, from “Dallas Buyers Club” to “Philadelphia,” deliver a powerful message and commemorate those who have lost their lives to the epidemic.
Over 20 seasons, Law & Order racked up over 50 Emmy nominations but despite the endless cameos by the likes of Julia Roberts, Elaine Stritch, Samuel L. Jackson, Claire Danes, Elisabeth Moss and so on, the prize the series took home most consistently on Emmy night was for cinematography (1993, 1997, 1998). As for its cast, the lead and supporting actors alike, while periodically nominated, never got the prize. Sam Waterston nominated three times — 1997, 1999 and 2000 — never won.
