Pet Shop Boys go to the ballet

Article: Pet Shop Boys go to the ballet

The Pet Shop Boys, the techno-pop duo, have scored their first ballet. Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story The Most Incredible Thing, the ballet is choreographed by Venezuelan dancer Javier De Frutos. It has opened to mixed reviews that match the reviews the PSBs have received their entire career: dramatic, uneven, fun, unforgettable, and a bit confused. If unable to make it to London to see the show the soundtrack was released last week. More on the show below:

It seems Lady GaGa’s not had enough of gay pop star collaborations. Bernard Sumner has been a prolific musician the last few decades. He was a member of the iconic Joy Division which became the even more iconic New Order after the suicide of JD’s Ian Curtis. Word of New Order’s demise left a foul taste in the mouth of techno-pop fans across the world. Now, there…

Article: Never being boring – Pet Shop Boys on tour

As stated in an earlier post Sundance Channel this month is all about Bruce Weber, the iconic American filmmaker and photographer. And while we love Weber’s images of perfect naked men, it is his iconic video for “Being Boring” by the British pop duo Pet Shop Boys that many a gay adores. I also happened…
