On BEHIND THE STORY WITH THE PALEY CENTER, comedian Patton Oswalt hosted the outrageously funny cast of Parks and Recreation. It’s been a long, successful road for this creative team, with lead star Amy Poehler joined by Adam Scott, Nick Offerman, Chris Pratt and Aubrey Plaza.
Aubrey Plaza is the queen of the deadpan delivery, the sarcastic quip, and the awkward… silence. She’s hilarious on social media (Twitter handle: @evilhag), in interviews, and in super-indie shorts, but here are the top 10 times the actress made us laugh out loud.
Well, looky here! Sundance fave SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED has an official trailer. And a peek at the film’s
SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED photos: Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass and Jake Johnson stop by Sundance Channel HQ
If there is one person everyone at Sundance Channel HQ has been excited to see come through the studio, it has to be Aubrey Plaza. The Parks and Recreation star joined castmates Mark Duplass, Jake Johnson, Jaran Soni and director Colin Trevorrow to talk about their film SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED. Check out all of the photos from their visit.
Nothing in this world is guaranteed, especially not a positive response at the Sundance Film Festival. SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED came to Sundance with a great premise and a better cast, but films with more impressive pedigrees riding bigger waves of buzz have crashed and burned in Park City.
The September/October 1997 issue of Backwoods Home Magazine featured a curious classified ad. It read:
“WANTED: Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. P.O. Box 322, Oakview, CA 93022. You’ll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. Safety not guaranteed. I have only done this once before.”
So many Parks and Recreation cast members have films at Sundance ’12 you’d think the Pawnee Parks Department was holding a winter company retreat in Park City. Ann, April, Ben, and the great Ron Swanson all appear in Sundance selections this January, though if you bump into any of them walking down Main Street they probably would appreciate it if you referred to them by their real names.
