Who would win a fight between Spider-Man and Batman?

“When we take a few moments away from horror and tragedy — not to mention politics and anger — to prove that humor and fantasy survive, there will be one question on moviegoing America’s mind this month… Who would win a fight between Spider-Man and Batman?”

This is the question being debated at the Dionysium event hosted by Todd Seavey tonight, July 25, at Muchmore’s in New York. In one corner will be Fred Van Lente, the Number One New York Times bestselling author of Marvel Zombies, Incredible Hercules (with Greg Pak), as well as Odd Is on Our Side (with Dean R. Koontz), the American Library Association award-winning Action Philosophers and the graphic novel Cowboys & Aliens (co-written with Andrew Foley), which was turned into a Daniel Craig-Harrison Ford movie.

In the other corner will be Dan Raspler, an editor and writer of comic books for DC Comics. He’s worked on such characters as Lobo and the Justice League — featuring Batman — and created Young Heroes in Love.

Plus: boating enthusiast and political activist Allison Oldak will explain why Aquaman is best.
