Now playing on Sundance Channel: THERE WILL BE BLOOD and nymphos

This week on Sundance Channel we’ve got milkshakes, nymphos, drag queens and terror plots. I really wish they were all wrapped up into one, amazing film. But, until I finish that screenplay, we’ve got to make do with four separate movies.

Nobody could ever replace the grande dames of the silver screen, women like Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, but that doesn’t mean drag queens won’t stop trying.

DIE MOMMY DIE is a great, big pile of camp. And it’s got the added pleasure of Jason Priestley and Natasha Lyonne. There is a plot (Hollywood! Betrayal! Scandal!), but that’s not the point. The point is to have fun.

Every week our boss, Mr. Robert Redford, picks a film he wants you to see. This week, it’s 2010 festival selection THE IMPERIALISTS ARE STILL ALIVE!

Follow French born Asya throuh the hip and glamorous downtown art scene, replete with exclusive parties, supermodels, and stretch limousines. Despite the debauchery immediately around her, it’s the “Global War on Terror” that is driving her (questionable) decisions. Art parties? Hot French women with guns? Underground, Chinatown bars? Sign me up!

I’m sorry, was the hot French women with guns bit not sexy enough for you? Well, then you should probably tune into DIARY OF A NYMPHOMANIAC, which is exactly what it sounds like…only in Spanish, which makes it sexier.

Somewhere in Virginia, Daniel Day Lewis is dressed up like Abraham Lincoln and eating a sandwich. He’s also probably drinking a milkshake. No, not his own milkshake…YOUR MILKSHAKE. Yes, Daniel Day Lewis won an Oscar for his leading role in this adaptation of Upton Sinclair’s Oil! And, it’s true, we’re all about Paul Thomas Anderson these days. But, despite the fact THERE WILL BE BLOOD is one of the best films of the last decade, we’re really just excited to remind everyone about they heady days of 2007 when everybody just said, “I drink your milkshake!”

Seriously, you don’t need me to tell you that THERE WILL BE BLOOD is a great film you can watch a hundred times and still enjoy. Set your DVR.
