36 covers, 1 Radiohead song

Ohadi Amram recreated Radiohead’s “Paranoid Android” by stitching together snippets from 36 different YouTube covers of this song by people from all corners of the world. I can’t imagine how much time this took, but the end result is surprisingly coherent and listenable. I forecast that there will be a trend of others doing similar stitched covers.

Speaking of Radiohead, in case you missed it, earlier this year a video of Thom Yorke’s slightly spastic dance, which was reminiscent of Elaine’s dance from Seinfeld, to their song “Lotus Flower” became a meme with his dance mashed-up with other songs, such as Beyonce’s “Single Ladies.” The LA Times compiled a best of those videos here. Feel free to bring this dance back at your Hurricane Irene party this weekend.
