Discovering Anton Stankowski
While working in India last week I was doing research on fonts when I discovered the work of Anton Stankowski. Wow is all I can say. I stumbled on his work after spending hours Googling fonts, graphic design and logo treatments.
I studied fashion design in college. I’ve worked in furniture and product design worlds for much of my career. But, if I am honest with myself, it is graphic design I most love. I just don’t know as much about it as other design disciplines. I found out Anton was German. He died in the late 90s. His most famous work was the logo for Deutsche Bank.
Like all new obsessions I am eBaying his name now hoping to find books, posters, and the like. If you’re a lover of all things modern, Bauhuas, graphic, or colorful I suggest you do the same.
