Modern chair foosball
Jakob Maurer, Rupert Adlmaier and Thomas Egger are new heroes of mine. The three designers made an incredible foosball table from different pieces of furniture: a dresser, a kitchen table, and a pair of rollerskates. Instead of little soccer men these furniture geeks made two different teams of chairs. Team one are classics of the mid-century. And team two featured more recent, though not less iconic, designs.
The classics included the Coconut chair by George Nelson and Egg chair by Arne Jacobsen. The new guys had Chair one by Konstantin Gricic and Loulou ghost chair by Philippe Starck. Now if they only figure out a way to mass produce it, like all the chairs the table honors.
