5,000 nude Australians in the name of art

Artist Spencer Tunick is recognized for photography projects involving mass volunteer nudes in public spaces. On March 1, his latest effort titled “The Base,” which was commissioned by the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras involved over 5,000 locals of all shapes and sizes organized on the steps of the iconic Sydney Opera House.
