SUNfiltered music videos

Here’s yet another installment of your weekly round up of music videos unearthed from around the Internet. Since your bosses took the day off to begin their Memorial Day weekend early, go ahead: minimize that Excel worksheet, plug in your headphones and enjoy some tunes!

Up first is this video “More than a Feelin” for Secta Chameleon shot with the sort of gritty steam punk aesthetic currently in vogue especially among the Boing Boing cognoscenti.

This next one was directed by Spike Jonze and Crystal Moselle is a really ambient piece for AsDSSka’s moody song “Hold On.”

The warm weather here in NYC of the past couple days couldn’t have arrived a moment too soon as we’re entering this long holiday weekend. The sun brings with it frisbee and sunning, rooftop barbecues, and last but not least falling in love with the hordes of beautiful New Yorkers who suddenly appear out of nowhere to flood the streets, parks, restaurants and bars making it the perfect season for aspiring Lotharios like the character in Mayer Hawthorne’s “Just Ain’t Gonna Work Out” music video.

This fourth music video for accomplished Japanese musician Aus is hauntingly beautiful.

We’re going to finish this round up strong with this fun head bopping video for Dizzee Rascal’s new single Bonkers. The style does remind me of some of the funky music videos for Busta Rhymes circa late ’90s.
