EP 03 – ENTRY 04: DIG ME A HOLE

Well, for all the excitement of the first few days, it turns out one of the most taxing parts of construction happens early on in a build: Digging the foundation. No one has a single nice thing to say about it.

Digging a trench deep enough to support the concrete and reinforcement bars that will hold the house up when it’s done requires a lot of serious physical labor. Who woulda thunk it?

To honor their efforts (or maybe wallow in them?) a few students made their way to historic Frenchman St. in the Quarter to listen to a seminal blues singer named
Little Freddie King [www.littlefreddieking.com].

Let me tell you, this guy is the REAL DEAL, with a life story to rival anyone who claims the Blues as their musical forte. Artists like this don’t come around very often, and while they’re often considered “best-kept secrets”, Little Freddie King deserves a wide audience, so please check him out. Much respect, Freddie. Keep ‘em coming.
